Download Project IGI 2: A Frustrating Experience

Replaying IGI 2, one can't help but feel that the game has become a generic first-person shooter (FPS) with no possibility of healing (healing is for cowards, after all). The infiltration aspect becomes even more challenging when you need to take out four types without setting off the alarm. The maps are huge, but from the very start, you realize the problem: the game forces you to follow a predetermined path on the large map.

Despite still being surprisingly pretty and clean (it runs fairly well on Windows 7-64, except for some texture clipping issues near the floor), and having an entirely French interface that is quite correct, IGI 2 remains as clunky as ever. The biggest 'progress' if you can call it that, is the ability to save - but only three times in total.

Furtive (good one, by the way) and super-casualties abound! And let's be honest, IGI 2 hasn't exactly improved with age or added anything new to the table. The sequel to Project IGI, this supposed FPS game is a disappointing experience. If you're looking for a fun and engaging gaming experience, I'd recommend searching elsewhere.
